Check the relay, it could be stuck in the closed position causing the pump to run 100% of the time the key is on. it should shut off when the fuel pressure is at operating range. like a well pump on a house, it needs to start and stop with the pressure difference. if it runs continuously it will burn up fast.

Good day, I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo LS 2WD, manual transmission. A week ago I started having problems starting my truck, seems like the ignition switch was not working, I have to crank it up to four t

Could be your fuel pump failing. Try this; turn ign key to "on", not "start" then off after 5 seconds. Do this several times then try "start". If it starts right up this time, your fuel pump could be going bad, or the fuel pressure is dropping for whatever reason.

Where is the fuel shut off switch located on a 91 isuzu rodeo v6

This vehicle does NOT have a fuel intertia cutoff switch like Ford vehicles. As a safety shutoff, it uses the oil pressure switch. If the engine stops and loses oil pressure, the oilpressure switch cuts off the fuel pump power. There is NO reset on this vehicle

Why is my2002 isuzu sputtering while accelerating

I own a 2001 IZUZU Rodeo which had the same problem. I chose to ignore this and keep on driving. This was a "bad mistake". Apparently I had been buying dirty fuel. The fuel filter was nearly blocked, the fuel pump had been damaged and a Tank Flush was required. This all meant $$$. Take your vehicle to a "RELIABLE" mechanic.

Have you tested out your fans? Check your fuses and the actual fuse box. Could be a bad fuse or bad fuse box because I had that happen to me. The fuse was okay (it still had some kind of power going to it ) but the actual box underneath was melted.

Since you replaced the filter it sounds like a classic fuel pump problem. Don't know your car but best thing to do is buy a repair manual for your car like haynes or chilton's at your local AP store. Read up on it at the trouble shooting section and the RR section. Good luck.
