It really varies, just like two people can have the same car and get very different gas mileage. It first depends on how many actual cuts are made. Do you let the blade get up to full speed before entering the work? If you force the cut it slows down the rotation speed of the blade which actually causes it to overheat and wear the teeth out faster. It done properly you should get a thousand cuts or more. You have to keep a perspective of how it cut new and how it is now. If it is carbide it can be resharpened.

In most cases its not worth to invest TIME if you have a rotak 40 or so , because of the low quality of Bosch mowers its because of they have take over qualcast brand from England they are now owner , the last years there are mowers that have a belt drive from electric mower ROTAK i have replaced a belt but its takes so many thinking and working time to split and rebuild after that the bearings are also not fresh enough to let it be whats over when its over with the bosch mower get an other brand I've never been in working misjudged restoring so, one machine mainly perform the standard excess tension on the belt which the bearing to excessive heat, the stuff is made to break down. i have this year 20 years behind me in repairing also Bosch powertools and thats not only the problem that its BOsch , no its the Qualcast quality that fits the last years inside the bosch brand. the last 7 years the Bosch powertools are differend by model and price and from bad to perfect. but the most common problem is the working time that you will have on a green rotak mower. if you own a old model Bosch fore 8 years ago then the parts are sometimes difficult to get. difficult to place an correct answer but be warned if its handling a rotak .

To change the Bosch B4300 blade - If the grey knob does not turn to release the broken blade, you need to use a LONG THIN flathead screwdriver down the center hole at the top. Unscrew until the broken blade is loose. Pull out. Replace the new blade and then screw the it tight through the same hole at the top. DONE.

How the h... do i cabnge the blade on the bosch 1582 cutter ??

I am assuming you are asking because you have a CLIC system.

Bosch uses a tool-less blade changing system for its jigsaws that it calls "Clic." The system makes changing blades fast and simple. With the simple blade changing you get with the Bosch jigsaws, it is no problem to change out a dull blade.

REMEMBER: SAFETY FIRST LAST AND ALWAYS!!!

Make sure the saw is unplugged or the battery is removed.

If you have a blade in there:

Hold the saw over a work bench and push the ejector lever to the center of the front of the saw. There is a center stop; you will feel it. The blade will eject and fall out

Insert the new saw blade into the plunger until it latches into place. The teeth should face toward the front of the saw. The back of the blade should rest in the groove of the guide roller. The plunger and the guide roller are between the body of the saw and the plate

If the blade will not go into the plunger, check the positioning of the slots in the blade. They should be at the top. Push the ejector lever and try again.

Give the blade a yank to check that it is firmly seated. Plug the saw back in or replace the battery and proceed with the cut

Use protective gloves when handling blades. They can be sharp and can be HOT.

I hope this helps

First unplug tool and lift up on the knob and loosen the spindle lock, insert blade and push up slightly while doing so and twist to align blade with the roller, while lifting up tighten the knob until you hear it click and the blade should be tight and stay in place. I've just started re-using my older Dewalt D313-04 jig saw but I'm finding replacement blades hard to find. Is the "U shank" meaning ... universal ... that Bosch and others sell going to be...

Hi, Using Black and Decker blades should be ok as they are part of the same company. Bosch jig saw blades work just as well to be honest and tend to be cheaper sometimes as they are geared more for trade where as Black and Decker are more for the Diy and they like to hike the price up. There are lot of cheap 'For Dewalt' blades for sale on ebay, and from past experience stay well clear. They are copy's of genuine Dewalt, made of cheap steel and not as sharp, they don't last long and snap so easy while in use, so stick to a good branded make.

could be the yoke inside that is loose, unplug the tool and lock the blade in and see if you can turn the blade by hand. also make sure that you are using the right shank blades and lastly is the locking mechanism fully engaging the blade. Let me know the model number if none of these help and I will look at an explosion for you.

How to fit bosch PHO 15-82 planer blades

  1. Unplug from mains and turn planer upside down.
  2. Using Allen key (stored in heel of planer) slacken off the 2 sets of 3 screws that clamp the blade in place. One 360 degree turn should be enough
  3. Use piece of wood or flat screwdriver blade to slide old blade out the side of the blade track.
  4. Rake any dirt out of the blade track with screwdriver blade.
  5. Slide in new blades, check it is correctly centred and tighten screws. Take care not to over-tighten.
  6. Repeat with second blade.
  7. Carefully rotate blade carrier by hand checking that blades are parallel to the sole of the plane.
  8. If blades are out of true you will need to remove them again, take off the blade clamping plates and adjust the blade locating plate, which is held in place by 2 further Allen screws.

How I change the blades in the Rs 15 saw machine bosch

To lock a blade in just push the blade in until you hear it click. This is what engages the blade. To disengage just turn the blade clamp until the blade pops out. This will lock it open until you insert a new blade.
