i have the same thing but what i do is unplug the tv and plug again till i hear a click then replug immediately and wait for the tv to come on .this is normally a symptom of a weak surge protector in the back, inside of the tv.it is normally not an expensive repair and better still if the tv is still on gaurantee it should cost nothing.
Tries tv unplug, replug it back like about an hour later. For the tv to resetting itself back to the factory setting,it should be working again. If it is still have the same problems, the causes mostly the power supply board have the problems, that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like a Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply for the replacement.

Hello Charliebigwh, hi technically your monitor's power supply has a problem, this is either your switching regulator does not work or there is a short in that section, If you want to do it your self, need to replace all large value, and or high voltage capacitors(especially the capacitors with its top is bubbly), need also to replace the switching IC, and power transistor.
Have it checked by a technician if you cannot do the work.
I have this same tv... Have you played any video games on it cause the xbox360 makes the screen blank... Put an hdmi cable in you tv and connect it to your cable box or dish box... this might fix the problem
It's due for surgery to repair the power supply and or main board. One way or another it is defective but let's try the following couple steps as a work around (works for me)
1- press power ON
2- wait 20 seconds
3- press power OFF
4- wait 20 seconds
5- press power ON.
Does it start the *second time* with the timings indicated above or never?
