EMachine ET1161-01 power up problem

I just installed a brand new eMmachine desk top and connected it to an existing flat screen monitor, Every once in a while when the system is powered up, the monitor light goes very bright on the screen and can not see any characters on screen nor can I use the mouse.

Unless I turn off the breaker and power back up the system the problem will not go away. The system runs Vista software

Me e machine desk top has been stored away for 6 months, i have set it up & the monitor won't stay on & it's saying no signal?

When the monitor says no signal, it means that it is not detecting a monitor. You need to check the cabling of your monitor and verify that it is properly plugged in. Normally its a blue VGA connection or a white DVI connection that goes to the back of the computer. Also, some monitor requires a seperate power source and you need to check this as well

How to connect emachine flat monitor to my computer?

Hello,

It sounds as if you are missing the power cord for the monitor. If the cord did not come with your monitor/PC, you can pick one up at any Radio Shack or electronics store. If you could forward me your eMachine model number as well as the monitor model number, I will see if I can better solve this for you without you having to spend anymore money.

Best Regards,

Are Dell monitors not compatible with older HP Pavilion Computer? I tried to connect my HP CPU to a Dell monitor and it will not recognize it at all.

It shouldn't make any difference which monitor you are connecting to any computer. In fact, I am running a 19" HP Flat Panel on my Dell Dimension 2400 right now. It is NOT a wide screen monitor as the Dell built in graphics card will not support the RESOLUTION RATIO required for the wide screen. Check what setting is "native resolution" for your monitor and see if your graphics card will support it. If not, using your old monitor, try different resolution settings. Right click on your desk top, click on properties and that should bring up the display properties box. Try a lower setting as larger settings are the ones that will give you a black screen. It will probably give you a smaller picture on your old monitor, or perhaps smaller or larger icons on the desk top. Accept the new settings, turn off your computer and switch monitors, and turn your computer back on. If you get a picture, but it does not fill the whole screen or the icons seem too large or small, then go back into properties from the desktop and try a different resolution ratio until the picture seems correct.

Emachine t3092, no video, can't find certain desktop files

If they're not on the drive, they're not on the drive. Your only other option is to search the free disk space for the remainder of those files. For that you can use the free trial of O&O Unerase Personal. I hope you get those files, never fun to lose memories over a peculiar computer issue.

Hi I live in Australia and have brought D-link dir-300 Wireless G router 1st off I have on screen D-link Quick router setup Quick router set has discovered that you are already connected to a router...

Dlink routers are fairly easy to set up most of the time, I've used several of them over the years. What the heck is this tower you keep speaking of? Is it a second computer or is it THE computer for your desktop monitor. Your explanation leaves a lot to be desired. I've never seen a commercial router that stands up like a tower computer and if you have one, it is probably a pretty expensive unit, so we must clarify and completely understand what you are talking about. You indicate that removing power and cables from the tower would disable your monitor and that makes it sound like the tower IS your computer. Does that make sense to you, it does to me.

How do you take off power save mode on a T1100 emachine. When you turn on the computer the monitor says PC in power save mode.

This means that there is no Video Signal that Is going to the Monitor, I would check all the Connections and make sure that it is plugged in correctly. Also, Not all the time, But in a Rare Case, You need to install the software that comes with the Monitor, I have had this Happen Once or Twice. Hookup the Old monitor, Install the Software, and then Connect the New Monitor, This should work.
