Question about Olympus VN-3100PC Digital Voice Recorder
I recently noticed my Olympus recorder was constantly running out of space. After I transfer my files to my mac I manually erase them on the recorder. But it still seemed like I had no time on the recrder, never more than 2 hours available. SO I erased everything out of each folder, including stuff that wasn't files I recrded (don't know what they were) When I put the battery back on the recorder it says Check and then connect to PC. I tried dragging and dropping the files out of the trash back into the recorder but that hasn't helped. Is it trashed for good?
The only thing left to try is to try and format the device and see if you can restore it back to factory default settings. You go to the menu and to the format option. This will permanently remove any recordings you have done and as I said restore the device back to factory settings. If that doesn't work then you will probably need to send it to Olympus for repair service.
