Wireless router connection

IF the ROUTER has wireless "enabled", and your device/computer has wireless (and the wireless is ON) then you should see the router's name when you search for "wireless connections" click on the name and enter the password for the router connection and should be able to connect, IF you can't see the router's name then unplug the router and wait 20 seconds to 1 minute, then plug the router back-in wait for the wireless "light" to come back on, and try again. Hope this helps...

The microsoft wireless mouse stopped working after a power failure. I get a message that says the USB device is not there. But I cannot navigate my computer w/o the mouse

The Microsoft wireless mouse comes with a wireless receiver, right? Before you do anything, the first thing that you can try is to replace the batteries with fresh ones.

If same problem occur, try to connect the wireless receiver into different USB ports of the computer. Then check if your wireless receiver and mouse has a connect button. If it does have connect buttons, briefly press the connect button on the receiver, then hold down the connect button on the mouse for 5 seconds. Then release the connect buttons.

If you get the same problem, hold down both connect buttons (receiver and mouse) at the same time for 5 seconds.

Last, try to connect the wireless receiver into different computer. If you get the same problem, send the receiver and mouse to the manufacturer for repair.

Thank you and good luck!

How do you install wireless usb adaptor

A wireless USB adapter is a simple device that connects to an open USB port on your computer or laptop, allowing you to connect wirelessly to a network that is within range. They come with different connection speeds, ranges and security protection allowing you to connect to the Internet and use email servers, without complicated setups. Installing USB adapters to a computer is a simple task that anyone can perform. With just a few steps, you can access wireless networkmag-glass_10x10.gif where there is one.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions
  1. Step 1 Research around before purchasing a wireless USB adapter. There are many different networking companies such as Belkin, Netgear and Linksys (see links in Resources). Compare prices and features such as speed in megabytes per second (mbps). Look for wireless USB adapters with a compliance of IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11g. These options give you increased security on your network.
  2. Step 2 Plug your purchased USB into a USB port on your computer. Depending on the chosen model, you may have an installation CD. Place your installation CD into the CD-ROM on your computer, and follow the setup instructions to install the wireless USB drivers. Some adapters will install automatically.
  3. Step 3 Locate the wireless icon on the lower right of your computer screen. If there is an "X" marked on it, use the manual that comes with your purchased wireless USB adapter to configure it properly. The wireless icon usually lights up when a wireless connection point is detected.

Netcomm NP745n wireless USB adaptor drops in and out of connection on about a 10-15 sec, cycle

I would like you to attempt this troubleshooting technique which helps alot of people:
1st: Unplug your High Speed router then unplug your Wireless Router (ALL WIRES)
2nd: Shut Down your Computer(s)
3rd: After 60 seconds of your High Speed Router and Wireless router being disconnected please plug the High Speed router back in make sure that it appears Online/Connected then plug in your Wireless Router make sure that it appears Online/Connected.
4th: Turn on your computer, login in and reattempt connection.
If this process does not work, I would like you to take a few minutes and go over this URL that will help you find a place to put your Wireless Router to make sure you receive Good/Excellent Signal which is http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/wirelesstips.mspx Microsoft "10 tips for improving your wireless connection." Is there anything else I can help you with?

I will be on line when all of a sudden it says internet explorer has stop working. It happens over and over. please help thank you ssuzannasuzie@verizon.net

well suzie, there are a lot of areas you want to check on about that issue. try to check the following:

check your modem, check if the ONLINE light is lit. if not as a remedy unplug the power from the unit, wait for about 30 seconds to a minute then plug it back in.

check if other computers can go online from the modem, if they can you may want to restart your computer to refresh the connection

if you have a wireless connection at home:

make sure that you are within range of the wireless router

make sure that your wireless computer is connected to the right network.

as a remedy, just restart the wireless router and your computer.

Hi, Expert: I am using NETOPIA 33347 wireless Router for home networking. I can not reset the router for my wireless laptop computer. Wireless light is not turned on and can not access to router from my...

Greetings my name is Mark and I will be glad to assist you. First unplug the router power and let it stand for thirty seconds. Second locate a small hole in the rear of the router it will not be marked. Third insert a small paperclip in the hole, you will feel a click when you do this, hold the clip in place for thirty seconds, at the same time you are holding the clip in place re-connect the power to the router and count to thirty seconds. Remove the clip and allow the router to re-boot for two minutes. It will reset to factory default and you will be able to access the router through a hardwired computer connection. Open your internet explorer and in the address bar type "192.168.1.100" your user name is andmi and your password is admin this should default your router and you can make the necessary security changes. Take care,
Be mucho blessed,
Mark

How do I add second laptop to router Wireless G

Does the second laptop have wireless capability and is it enabled? If so, when you turn the computer on it should offer to connect as soon as it sees the wireless network. If you have WEP or WPA encryption enabled on the router, you will have to enter the passcode into your laptop.
