Question about Video Game Consoles

1 Answer

Hi there, I've searched as much as I can on our work internet (which filters "games" so not a lot of help) but my problem is that with my PS3 connected to my new panasonic 65" 1080HD via HDMI I get sound when the PS3 starts up and navigating the internal menus but not when I go to play any games. The games (GTA4, Stuntman etc) load fine and gameplay works fine just no sound. This is unusual as on the previous LG plasma, connected via the same HDMI cable no probs at all. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you, Jason.

Some Panasonic's have several HDMI inputs, but usually one of them will have a separate input for audio. You might move the HDMI to another port. If this doesn't apply I would run through the setup on the PS3, making sure that audio is configured correctly and not set for 24p audio. Most TV's cannot decode this audio format, unless it is very new.

Hope this helps,

Why can't I connect my DS Lite to my Wifi?

hi Kevin,
The ds lite uses WEP encryption, you will most probably be using wpa/wpa2 which has alot better security but is not compatible with the ds lite. I think the dsi uses wpa and therefore works. I wouldn't recommend changing your current wifi to wep just to get on the internet with the ds lite.
Hope this helps

Games Monkey See Monkey Do freezes xbox

Hi, have same issue with this game. It seems that the patch that the xbox downloads is not compatible with newer xboxes. I've set an email to the game maker, but while we wait for them to fix it try the following work around.Clear xbox cache, then remove the internet connection from the xbox, you should now be able to use the game. Do not reconnect the internet until after you finish playing the game and remember to disconnect it each time before playing the game, otherwise you'll download the patch and have to clear the cache again.
Please let me know if this works for you, so that I can inform the game makers and hopefully get a proper solution.

Hi my archos 2.8 "tablet"

Not a lot can be done from home with these devices. Every time I've come to repair one I've had to send it back to the manufacturer.
