Question about Nokia 6600

Menu key not working

My nokia 6600 phone having problem with menu key.it is deactivated, or when i press it's not showing any response or keypad tone is not hearing.when i used to switch on and off 2 or 3 times it got ok before 3 days. now a days it totally dead, and some times it works, for few seconds and when we get out from menu again the same problem starts. Once menu get opened I could do all jobs.i opened up the case and checked the key it is OK, then also i cleaned it, the same problem still exists. What is the problem? any virus or any hardware Ic failure or any software missing. Pls tell me a brief troubleshooting procedure. otherwise i am in trouble......

    I have Nokia 6600. All my keys are fine but the menu key is not working. plz assist me. I cannot open my wallet which is really very important for me.

Try to replace with a new keypad, if its symptoms persists keypad ic must be the problem

Dear. wash the contents of menu key with CTC or any other approved chemical.

If u have checked the key pad & u hav cleand it too then its a hardware problem means problem with keypad ic it might have happend due to droping down the phone on the floor or may be due to fallen in water or may be baby might have taken the phone in mouth.

first step,you should update your phone's firmware and then clean the keytone .If nothing have changed,you can change the flexible,check the keypad track and check the keypad ic,replace if needed. And Finally,rehot the CPU or replace it.

The key sound problem:

Attempt the following:
1) Hit Menu
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Profiles
4) Select General
5) Select Personalise
6) Scroll down to Keypad tones and if set to OFF select it, then using the centre button press right THREE times, then press the centre button to select.
7) Press Back
8) Go to Activate and Select.
NOTE: Follow this procedure for every profile you wish to use keypad tones for.

For the headset logo problem: (this is a temporary fix, you might need to have your phone checked or wait for another solution)
1) Hit Menu
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Enhancement Settings
4) Select Headset
5) Select Default profile
6) Select Silent
NOTE: If this does not remove the logo, then you should follow the (instructions) above.
