Question about Panasonic PT-43LC14 43" Rear Projection HDTV

Panasonic PT43LC14, blinking green light on the power button

Howdy all,

The unit powered off and will not power up, just get the blinking green light on the power button. Purchased the unit in Nov 2004 and have replace the lamp assembly one time. I'd like to replace only the bulb this time around, if needed, but am having difficulty finding a quality source; suggestions are welcome.

Noting the symptoms mentioned, will a bad lamp prevent power up? or is there another possibility, perhaps a bad ballast?

Thanks for taking a moment.

Depends on how much tv you watch, lamps burn out after anywhere from 5,000 up to 8,000 hours also you xould have a bad fan if fan does not work lamp will not come on.

Panason PT-50LC13 TV won't come on, light blinks green then red

Ballast failure is more that likley the problem. Is the lamp light blinking,...once every 5 seconds? Discontinued part and can only be purchased used or rebuilt. Rebuilt units are available, check Ebay. Have a service type person confirm problem before throwing good money after bad!

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on
