Do printers have archives? I am looking for something I printed out about a month ago.

The simple answer is no, they don't. They do have a memory buffer, but that is used only to memorise what you send to it when you do a print job. Once the print is complete the buffer is normally cleared.

I'm afraid you will not be able to recover something you printed a month ago. Do you not have the document on your PC?

Every time i hook up the kodak esp9 to the computer it keeps spitting out copies of a picture i made a month ago

The problem with this is that the previous printing jobs are still on queue
To delete the Printing queue try doing the ff:

Double click the Printer Icon under Printers and Faxes then
Delete all the printing queue

Click Start then Run then type print stop spooler
Click Start then Run then type print start spooler

Try hooking the printer again

Hope this will help

Trouble with duplex printing

I think your problem is that the 5550 supports manual duplex printing. Print every other page then feed them through again. Never tried it though. Dave Reed

Loud grinding noice before starting to print

Mine makes a grinding noise when scanning or making copies. As long as everything is working, I just tolerate the noise in which the rest of the staff find amusing at first and then ignore it as I do.

Cannot print only one copy; prints the first page only . . . over and over again

Check the menu and got to printing options, it may be that the number of copies got changed, you can set it up to where it can make up to 999 copies!!!!! why that option is on there is a mystery.
