Question about Computers & Internet
2 challenges persist.
One, when I use the explore function to find files that have been backed up i find files with .rim or .isb but cant open it. What program do I need?
Second, is with retrieving files. Regardless whether you use the wizard or independent file search the same errors come up. When you choose ''Source'' you get a message ''no items selected'' then you click ok and then you get ''invalid file''
How do I get my files off the hard drive?
Typically if you have a hard drive, you can slave it to a working computer and manually go in and copy the files onto the working computer and mess with them there.
Whatever program created the backup files is the one you need to open them, but copying them should not be a problem unless they are protected via password or encryption.
I googled the file extentions and the .RIM didnt have anything relevent, this is probably because its some file extention thats only used by a particular device just lik 3g files for phones. You would need the device or program that created it to access it.
.isb files seem to be audio files of some type.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
