It may have something to do with your camera running on auto, internal, or sd option for your memory storage.

When you get to your black screen, try pressing the "w" in your zoom to see if you have taken any pictures. You did find the playback mode...so congradulations.

My Polaroid i1035 won't stay on. It comes on when

That usuallymeans an internal problem. So it needs to see a repair shop. Check for warrenty repair and replacement cost. Sometimes it is almost cheaper to just get a new camera.

Cannot find batteries that work. I have replaced the batteries with different brands and it still wont turn on. What is the problem.... Its not reliable.

It is possible that there is a small amount of corrosion on the contacts in the camera. Use the eraser end of a common pencil to clean these contacts. Also, make sure you are using the correct batteries. It shows here that you have the polaroid i830. this camera uses two AA batteries: Open the battery door, located on the underside of the camera (use your thumb to slide the door outwards). Install the two AA batteries into the battery bay. Install the SD card into the slot located next to the battery bay. Close the battery door.
  1. Step2Press the power button located on top of the camera. Locate the "Playback" button on the rear of the camera, under the "W" button; this button switches the camera between "Capture" and "Playback" modes. Set the camera to "Capture" mode.
  2. Step3Press the button on the bottom right of the rear of the camera to open the mode selection window. Use the navigation buttons to select "Still Image" mode. Press the button labeled "Set Disp" to confirm your selection.

How to use i1035 as a webcam?

Apparently, you can't. The owner's manual (http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/mfg/1848/spec_file/14070180.pdf) gives no indication that this camera has webcam capability.

It may have something to do with your settings.

Press the button with the diamond on it (at the bottom right hand cornner)
  • there will be a variety of different options that will help you take pictures in various conditions
In picture mode, press the ok button
  • go down to "awb" for more configurations and settings dealing with your conditions
(I might recomend the use of a tri-pod to hold it steady)
