Question about Garmin nuvi 200W GPS Receiver
I purchashed the accessory for hardwiring my nuvi 200. I am wondering were I should attach the two leads?
I have a 2009 Chev Avalanche truck.
Thanks for your help
I'm not familiar with the accessory but if its designed to convert +12VDC to +5VDC, then you should connect it to a +12VDC circuit that is controlled by your ignition switch. That way when you turn off the ignition, your Nuvi will ask you if you want to go to battery operation or not. In 30 seconds, if no button is pressed it will automatically turn off and not drain your battery. CAUTION!! Do not connect +12VDC directly to the Nuvi USB port or you will fry your Nuvi! Make sure you are using a +12VDC to +5VDC converter.
