Question about Kenmore 3.8 cu. ft. HE3t Front Load Washer
I ran a cycle before bed and the machine seemed to run forever. This morning I found the door won't unlock. The "controls locked" button is lit. I attempted to run another cycle to clear the problem and found the drum doesn't turn and the motor sounds aren't the same as usual. Unplugging the machine does not correct the problem. I have a repairman coming in the morning. I have no idea what is wrong or how much repairs will potentially cost. Question: Would it be reasonable to spend $280 for a one year extended warranty that will cover the cost of the repair I have scheduled or is the warranty cost too high in relation to what my repair bill will likely be outright?
Try holding 'end of cycle' button for 3 seconds. If not........

Tips for a great answer:
Press any of the buttons on the control panel to see if the buttons are operational or check to see if the "Control Locked" indicator light is lit. If the control panel is operational, you may mistakenly lock the door.
Press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off. The control panel is now unlocked, and the washer is ready for use.
Lock the washer again by pressing and holding the "End of Cycle Signal" button until the "Control Locked" indicator light turns on.

It seems that something is clogged in the drain pump
assembly and you have to clean it to solve this issue. After cleaning if the
issue returns then test the door lock assembly, if bad it should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
