It most likely has had a power spike to the power supply and damaged some component you will need to get it tested

Right click on printer Icon, and select "Enable". First Unplug from PC, & Power, Put power back on, wait a minute, plug into USB, wait a minute, select Icon, Enable. Also you can right click the Icon, and select Properties too.

Lexmark X5470 powers on and off constantly

I encountered the exact same problem with my Lexmark X5470. After a power failure on Aug 20, the printer would reboot itself every few seconds. I unplugged the power cord and/or adapter for a few minutes and after replugging, it worked fine. However, the problem returns after I power off the printer and then turn it back on, in which case I unplug again for a few minutes. Hope this helps.

Power went out for awhile due to storms, now my

You may need to reset the printer. Here are the align cartridge instructions from HP, in case you haven't seen them. Here's another link that explains, in step 7, how to do a partial reset. If that doesn't work, shut down, remove both power and data cables from your printer for a few minutes, then reconnect and restart.
Hope that proves helpful!

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Have an epson photo stylus r310. Won't print even though its saying it is

LEAVE PRINTER ON THEN,
1 remove ALL ink cartridges and close all covers
2 unplug power cord from back of printer
3 wait 4 minutes
4 plug power cord back in and wait for 10 minutes
5 when prompted install ink cartridges and wait a few minutes

click the setup button on the front of the printer scroll down to the tools menu and then run clean print head 3 times and last of all run align printer 1 time.

Won't print. Red light blinking

Reboot your computer and power down your printer. Leave them off for about 30 minutes or even overnight. (In other words, leave the computer and printer off more than a few minutes--some of the printers take more than 5 minutes before they'll clear their memories--a quick reboot won't do it.)

When deleting print copies it is safer to use the delete button on the printer than to delete from your computer, as then the copies don't get hung up in spooling.

I've had to do this a few times with Vista and printers, as things get held up in spooling on a regular basis.

I've seen this with copiers in that a one second power failure and I need to reset it from the diagnostics menu. I have also seen this on printers as well. Here's the instructions for getting to the diags menu
Press and hold the red button (info button) and the “OK” button simultaneously. This should take you into the Service Tools menu.
2) When in the Service Tools menu, scroll down to the “Enter Diagnostics” menu. Select the “OK” button. It will go through some cycling at this time for about 2 minutes. The screen may go blank a few times too.
3) It then asks for a confirmation, select “ok” again. The printer will go through a minute of rebooting. The screen may go blank a few times too. You are waiting for the diagnostic menu with the Test #00 “no test selected”
4) 7) It will ask for a confirmation. Select “OK” to confirm.
8) Then hit the up arrow until you go over test 100 to test 01. “Exit diagnostics.”Select “OK”.
9) It will ask for a confirmation. Select “OK” to confirm.
10) At this time the printer will again reboot for several minutes & then should come up to a ready to print.

When it wouldn't come back on after the electricity went off, I tried the suggested 20-minute rest for my Canon MP830. When I plugged the printer in again after 20 minutes, it was fine!

No power

One of 2 things.
Your machine power switch went bad, or the low voltage power supply.
