First Alert Timer ET220

How do you set it? We want to use it for indoor christmas lights as soon as possible.

I can't find any instructions online (lots of links to spyware, but no legit sites)

First Alert doesn't seem to have any instructions on their site, just features and pictures.

OK, try this.

Remove batteries for a minute or two to clear memory. Replace batteries.

1. Plug into wall
2. Hold down ON button for 5 seconds to turn on
3. Rotate timer to correct time, hold TIME SET button for a few seconds until the light flashes
4. Rotate knob until first desired on time. Hold down ON button
5. While holding ON/OFF button rotate timer to desired off time, then release ON/OFF button.
6. Repeat 4 and 5 for second time
7. Plug in lamp and test.

I think that's close, I'm testing ours tonight.

Remove the button cell battery holder.
Look inside the space, where the holder was.
Negative is on the right and Positive is on the left.
It is shown, but is very hard to see.

Lost instruction for operation of woods indoor digital 24 hour timer (59203)

1) Copy following link for possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Oval

2) Don't forget to reset timer to clear traces of prior programming.
Timer has internal rechargeable battery that eventually gives out, rendering timer useless.
Timer has 1 year limited warranty through Coleman.

3) Suggested replacement timer: Woods 59009, 59008, 59007.
Two prong and 3-prong outlets, rated for CFL LED incandescent etc
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#50009

4) Or buy timer locally for ez return if timer does not work.

5) Jan 2013: Best brands for warranty support are probably Woods, Intermatic, GE, Tork, Sylvania, Leviton.
Promotional-grade timers from First Alert, Timex, Brinks, Stanley-Westinghouse, Utilitec etc may not have clear on-line warranty support.

Have a first alert et220 timer. After setting it and turning back to current time, pm light goes out and clock does not run. Manual switch works fine

Timer is not identified for certain. Expert does not have instruction manual and can only guess at cause of problem.
For example not all timers are rated for CFL or halogen bulbs.
Loose light bulb filament, or loose light bulb, or dirt in light bulb socket can cause problem, replace light bulb.
Conflicts in timer programming can cause problem with digital timer.
Read more options listed below:

1) Add a comment and describe timer appearance and if timer is programmable or has a rotary dial.
Describe what buttons appear on timer.

2) Take photo of timer and post on flickr and add comment with link to that photo.

3) Scan your timer instructions into file format. Post this file to Flickr and then add a comment with link to those instructions.

I lost instructions for setting my 111 Woods timer. It is used indoors. Please send me instructions Thank you and have a merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you also.

I do not show a Woods 111 timer.
However Woods is sold under many different numbers and a few different brand names.
Link below goes to all Woods timers and manuals:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Step 1) Scroll through page and look carefully at the timers to help identify your timer. Similar timers might set the same way as your timer. Add a comment any time.
Step 2) Add a comment and describe your indoor timer. Is it wired into the wall, or does it plug in. Describe the buttons in detail or the dial, describe override switch if it has one. Give as much information as you can think, and then I will check other resources
Step 3) Check list of other brands because Woods carries over into other brands as well. I am familiar with these timers.

How to program Intermatic model T101-70

Do you have the screw on trip pieces? They look like little arrows with a thumb screw on them. Some of them should say On, some Off Place the on trips over the time you want the lights to com on vice versa for off. To set the time pull out on the yellow time wheel and rotate until the arrow that is pointing down is over the current time. I hope this helps.
