The power seeker 60's are hard to use a high power due to the 60mm objective. try starting out with a 25mm eyepiece on the moon or some think bright and work from there.

How to use the 60az telescope

You mean to see objects in the night sky? Download this free monthly star chart.

Put the diagonal into the focuser and then the eyepiece with the largest number written on it. Try for the moon first, and then Saturn second. Saturn is up in the South East at about 9:00pm.

Objects in the night sky are tiny-- smaller than the tip of your finger held at arms lebgth. Your scope must be pointed directly at them or you will see nothing.

I have a powerseeker 60 telescope, can't see now

You are using too much power for this small 60mm telescope. Use the eyepiece with the largest number written on it, and DO NOT USE the 2xbarlow which multiplies power by 2 times.

I have a Celestron Newtonian telescope, 76mm, 700mm. I am trying to locate the finder scope bracket to replace a broken one. I cannot find any other numbers, but it is about ten years old.

Simply buy another finderscope.

Many internet retailers sell finder scopes. Here is Orion Telescope:

The view disappears when the eyepiece is inserted. There is no change in focus at all.

You must FIRST put the eyepiece in and THEN focus.

Take the scope outside during the daytime. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

Practice focusing on a distant object. These articles may also help you.

I have bought a Nexstar 80 from a garage sale. It did not come with an eye piece. I have one now. (Celestron 20mm) I still cannot focus on anything. Is there some other adapter that I need to focus?...

You need a DIAGONAL see this picture, it's basically an "l" shaped accessory that fits into the end of the telescope so you look DOWN into the eyepiece.

My celestron 114 EQ Is now put together. I have a apple computer

Did you start by using your lowest magnification eyepiece? Until you get used to that one it's almost impossible to use the higher powered eyepieces. I was looking too high in the sky and with too much magnification and was having the same problem. Find something like the roof of the garage and then gradually sweep the sky just above it slowly. --- If you can see only black during the day too - there is possibly a misalighnement of mirrors - you can buy a collumating kit from - hope this helps.
