Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 1000 Typewriter

My Lexmark Wheelwriter all of a sudden has stopped working. When

I turn it off and on, all the lights on the right hand side quickly blink on and off at the same time. Then nothing,

I changed all three batteries but it still isn't working. Can anyone help??

    all the power in my office went out, then after that my wheelwriter turns on but it doesnt move.

    The model of your WW would be helpful as models have different error codes. Ckeck the keyboard connectors , check for debris and dirt in the printwheel area, look for paper clips and staples on and under the P. C. board.

Most likely a board, but check on and under the PC board for debris especially paper clips and staples.

the beeping and the lights are error codes, meaning the machine will need repair

IBM wheelwriter 15 Series II not working


It sounds like the keyboard is bad. Check the two bflat connectors from the keyboard to the PC board, if they are connected ok a keyboard is in order.

Lexmark 1000 freezes up light blink


All the lights blinking usually means the batterys are dead or incorctely installed. Leave the machine plugged in and turned on when changing them so memory is not lost.
