LE is an error code for the stator. Rare occasions it is the PCB as well. The stator sensor is only there for the PCB to know what direction the rotor is turning.

How to locate a ball sensor in my lg washer

The Ball Sensor has nothing to do with a "LE" error.
A faulty Hall Effect Sensor or faulty Stator or faulty Main PCB are
suspects..You must remove the Rotor and then the Stator to get to
the Hall Sensor..

New Hall Sensor & Rotor and code LE with some ringing noise

The LE code is displayed when the motor goes into an overload situation, if you have changed the Hall sensor and rotor, the only other problem is the stator overheating which will bring on the LE display.
Check the stator assembly, replace is faulty.

Fisher Paykell error - mw051-u

Your fault code is unknown,
Try these.
130. (10000010) Single Rotor Position Sensor Error
The Motor Control Module has found an error in the pattern received from the Rotor
Position Sensor. Likely causes of this fault are a bad connection on the harness between
the Rotor Position Sensor and the Motor Control Module, or a faulty Rotor Position Sensor.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: Check for corrosion on the RAST connector of the Rotor Position
Sensor and the Motor Control Module connector.
Secondary Source: Rotor Position Sensor.
Action: Check the Rotor Position Sensor with an R.P.S. tester. Replace if
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.
Quaternary Source: Rotor
Action: Ensure the correct rotor for this phase of machine has been fitted

136. (10001000) Motor Stall
The Motor Control Module has been unable to start the motor. Possible causes of this fault
are: Faulty motor harness, faulty or jammed motor, seized bearings or seals, faulty Motor
Control Module, faulty Rotor Position Sensor or harness.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: Measure/check the motor harness, connectors and motor for
discontinuity. This can be done by taking a resistance measurement
between phases of the motor harness at the Motor Control Module
end. If an incorrect reading is obtained the reading should be taken
directly from the stator.
Secondary Source: Motor.
Action: 1) Check free rotation of the agitator and bowl by rotating by hand.
Bearings and seals may be seized.
2) Check the Rotor Position Sensor and associated harness for
water, mechanical damage or corrosion.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: If the primary and secondary checks pass inspection, then replace
the Motor Control Module.

Turn washer on, set the different modes, hit the go button, water starts to go in, then drum tries to turn but stops. after a few seconds, I get a LE code on the display. any suggestions???

The LE code could be a few things, you may need to unplug the unit, and remove the back panel (four phillip screws). Check the rotor, the big metal wheel on the back of the drum. There are two plugs toward the bottom of the rotor, check to make sure these are connected, and firm in place. Also, there is a wire harness directly left of the rotor, it leads to the bottom of the washer. There are a couple of connections, in closed in a plastic bag, twisty-tied together. Make sure those are connected. If all those connections are in place, and its still giving you the LE error code, it may very be your Stator, or your Hall sensor (RPM sensor). The Stator sits behind the rotor. The hall sensor, is attached to opposite side of the stator. The stator should read between, 5 ohm's and 15 ohm's.

Error LE. The tub is having a hard time turning. When there were clothes in it, the tub did not turn at all. After removing the clothes and some of the water the tub did turn.. but it was having a hard...

This error code indicates "locked rotor error". This can be caused by loose or corroded electrical connections at the motor or control board or by a faulty hall sensor. Unplug the washer. You can start by unplugging and reseating the electrical connections at the motor to make sure there is good contact and to clean off any corrosion build-up. Do the same for the connections at the control board. You need to remove the rotor and stator to access the hall sensor. When you get ready to install the rotor after replacing hall sensor it is best for a helper to hold the drum in place when you push the rotor onto the shaft or the drum may move forward, making it hard to replace the bolt. The drum also need to be kept from turning while the bolt is tightened. I will attach a photo of the hall sensor for reference. Remember to try and check the electrical connections first, before considering a faulty hall sensor. Pay particular attention to the connection on the main control board. It should be a red colored connector. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

LE fault code for LG WD-1019bd washer

Usually it is the stator at fault with an LE error. I would make sure the cable between the stators windings and hall sensor are ok back to the main control board also give the wires a good tug sometimes the copper breaks inside the wiring insulation at the white connection blocks. Check to make sure theres nothing got trapped inbetween the drum and tub this can lock the drum up and give the fault. After checking all the above i would think it would either be a faulty stator or the main control board has failed. Hope this helps.

LG WM12225

I have gone around and around with my LG washing machine. I have the same model and the same LE code. I have replaced the hall sensor twice. each time the problem returned about three weeks later. I have also disassembled the drain pump and housing and cleaned it all out. I'm pretty sure that the hall sensor was never bad- I think that simply unplugging and letting it sit while the parts was being shipped caused something on the main board to reset. I don't if I have some corroded contact somewhere or a stuck latching relay. I have gotten the LE code about four times now. I got it on friday again and fixed it in less than five mintues. I have no idea if this will help or not:
Unplug the unit.
Remove the four screws all the way at the top of the back of the unit.
Slide the top cover rearward about 1 inch and then lift the cover off and set it aside.
Sliding the top cover may require some effort.
Once the top is off, look for the PCB or primray control board. It is encased in an almond colored box on the inside of the back wall.
There is one plug with three wires that plugs into the board through a hole in the front cover of the PCB case. Unplug it and then plug it back in.
Once your fingers are clear, plug it in and see if it works.

Here is an additional tip: if the unit stops again with the LE code you can get the drain pump to empty the machine for you by using the quality control functions as follows.
Turn off machine completely.
Hold "soil level" and "spin speed" buttons at the same time. While holding those two buttions reach over and hit the power button (not start button).
All lights on the front should illuminate and after about five seconds the door will latch closed.
Press the "start" button eleven times. The number displayed will be the water level and the pump will pump the water out for you. BTW: 62 is empty and 27 is full (approx.)
Hope this helps.

LG Washer LE Error

Solved LE error for my WM1832CW by replacing Hall Sensor. Bought part 5016501KW2002A for $Cdn 26 at Sears parts store. Thanks to TC at for instructions:
1 Open rear panel. Take 17mm nut off (it's the only one)
2 Pull off what looks like a goofy hubcap (it's held by magnets)
3 Unscrew the six 10mm bolts and gently lower the coils
4 Remove and replace the Hall Sensor (plastic comb looking thing)5 Plug in the sensor and re-install the coils and cover.
30 minutes for me.
Test spin cycle if desired by following chart on page 19 of service manual at
(note lower models skip step 10 (heater test).
Hall Sensor Part labelled as K351 in diagram on page 41 of service manual.
