SOURCE: over heating then cooling to much

overheating can be caused by defective radiator, core plugged or fins have come seperated from the fluid tubes or one of the radiator hoses have collapsed esp the bottom one when the water pump is sucking hard, normally has a spring inside to prevent this.. also caused by a rotted out head gasket and coolant is not circulating fully to the rear cylinder so is only cooling front cylinders.. can also be a defective water pump or thermostat itself. The air conditioner load may be excessive if you're using that... defective radiator pressure cap, should be 14 lbs or so... pressure too low or none?

SOURCE: my fan fuse blows when it gets hot

About the only thing that would cause the fan fuse to blow is either the fan has a problem and is dragging or a short in the wiring. I would bet the fan motor is probably bad. The hoses and thermostat have nothing to do with the fan motor fuse blowing.

SOURCE: no heat blowing from vents already replaced

I had a problem with that in January 2008, my thermostat was fine. I took my car in to the dealer and they said the hinge that opens and closes the hot/cold air inside the dash broke. They had to remove my entire dash and replace the part. Luckily I was under warranty and didn't have to pay but the repair would have cost $3000.

[email protected] van does not heat unless u are moving. when we r stoped it blows cold air and when we move it blows out the heat.

Needs the thermostat replaced = when the car is idleing it doesn't build enough heat, when driving it works harder creating more heat.

Make sure coolant level is ok,check the thermostat and/or replace with a higher temp thermostat that should help unless it is a circulation problem in which case flushing the system may be needed

I have no heat coming out of the vents. Blows

If the temperature is cold outdoors, this can be a symptom of a stuck open thermostat. With the thermostat stuck open the engine never gets warm, so it won't give good heat. It's not expensive to get a new one, and they are easy to replace, so take it in and have it checked. Another symptom of that is very low gas mileage in the cold weather.

Heat

The thermostat needs to be replaced. When this happens, the thermostat is stuck in the open position and is not moderating the coolant temperature to where it should be. Replace the thermostat and coolant if it's older then 5 years or has over 150,000 miles. Good luck and make sure the new coolant is mixed 50/50 water/antifreeze
