I'm getting no display

I'm an entry level technician and have made computers before. So I know that when you start up a computer that no display is a problem. So I was wondering if it was the 12v rail. The mother board has a six pin, I only have a four pin how do I fix this problem?

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

I have forgotten ( Senior Moment) how to use my San Disk. I want to copy some photos from my computer and take them to a photo frame that will display them. I know where to plug the San Disk in but I need...

I will assume you are running Windows operating system. If you are not the following instructions do not apply.

Click on My Computer (avaiable from Start). If your Sandisk is plugged in you should see it shown as a removable storage device.

Minimise that window and now go to the folder that contains your pictures. Highlight all the pictures that you want to copy to the Sandisk and right click on them. Choose 'copy'.

Now go back to My Computer, right click on the entry for the Sandisk and choose 'paste'.

Thie pictures will be copied onto the Sandisk.

If you need more detailed instructions please post a reply and I will try to help again.
