You might not getting proper connectivity from your internet service provider
so just check your internet connection setting then your computer's IP address configuration
if its working ok
then you have to ask your internet service provider for additional help and perticular settings

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My cisco linksys ae1000 adapter does not have internet connection

If haven't yet check Device Manager, go to Network Adapters and look for Linksys Wireless Adapter. Check the status of the adapt
Also look for errors codes on anything. Make sure all is enabled or need to install drivers.
If all fails remove adaptor and all drivers for it, restart computer and reinstall adaptor.

Router problem

Hi .
First who is your service provider?
Can you connect to the internet if you directly hook your modem to your computer.
1>If so connect your Modem to your router on the colour code slot on the router which says modem
2>Connect a cable from the router to your computer
3>The lan light on the router should be turned on
4>Check wether your lan says connected . To check that click start-> control pannel -> network connections
5>If it says connected try internet explorer settings
6>If it says limited or no connectivity
Click start ->run -> cmd->ipconfig
7>It should say ip address as : 169.254.x.x.
8>If so type ipconfig/release
9>It shoul say ip address: 0.0.0.0
10>Type ipconfig/renew on command promt
12>Disable and enable lan

Let me know if this helped and also if you dont what kind of messages you get .

Router connecting to Linksys USB adapter

to confirm if your Network adapter's assigned IP, subnet, Gateway & DNS
  • Start > Run > cmd
  • at cmd prompt type: ipconfig /all
  • look at the parameters given to your Network Device that is connected to the router (IP, Subnet, Gateway & DNS Servers.
  • Verify those addresses if they are reachable by pingging. Check your IP, Gateway, then check for the DNS Addresses. Type cmd prompt: ping ip_address << do not omit the periods between the numbers.
  • See if there are replies from those addresses. if you get Request timed out, tell us here which part you get one. if you can receive a reply from those addresses (gateway & DNS Servers) definitely you are already connected to the internet. Just check your Browser's connection setting.

Connection problems

If Internet sharing is set up correctly one pc will be the one that connects directly to internet, the other will connect through a gateway or other device connected to your network. Check they have'nt both got the same IP address. Is this related to last problem, did you get the wireless card working wirelessly online?
