Mostly built in cameras are getting on with screen itself
so dont find any switch for it
instead of that go to my computer
you may find webcam's icon in here
just double clik and you can see camera's pic
(its not necessory that all camera display in my computer)
because its depends on manufacture and driver
so if you cant find webcam in my computyer
then also you can see it start any messenger and click on my web cam and see what it says ?
means if your camera is working ok then it will display images in yahoo messenger but if its not working you will get messeg hat your web cam is not connected

No webcam detected. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on

You are using a device which works only with Win-Seven OS or higher. I've got the same problem with my optical mouse (without cable) .... Try to re-install your camera's driver in your pc... if this doesn't works... try to install your camera in a PC or Laptop with Win-Seven OS

Can't get the built in webcam to work on my computer

well....the Webcam has it's own connection to the PC, (typically a USB cable,) but the sound will come out of your speakers.....so if you have your speakers built into your monitor, then yes, there needs to be a 2nd cable from the monitor to the back of the PC. It should have a headphone jack at each end; there will be only one place on the monitor it will fit. On the back of the PC, there should be a small round pale-green connection to plug-in near the USB ports, (unless you have added your own separate sound card, then it should go there.)

If the video is not working, then check if it is plugged into the EXACT same USB port. You do not note what OS you're using....but usually I recommend a device be removed from the device manager, then rebooted several times before attempting to re-install it.

I m not able to install my integrated webcam on the dell e6400 laptop...........tried installing creative drivers but the installation stops at 90%.............I m also not able to see the webcam anywhere...

Please shut down all unnecessary tasks by going into Task Manager. Make sure there are no programs running that could interfere with the install. Particularly any graphics programs that you may use that are left open even when you close them.
Make sure your antivirus is NOT running.

It sounds like you need to check your USB controllers through Device Manager as well as reinstalling Yahoo Messenger.

1. Go to Device Manager and verify that there are no yellow exclamation marks or question marks, if there are reinstall them.
2. Test your webcam after this point because one of the USB drivers should be your webcam driver.
3. Reinstall Yahoo messenger and test it with your webcam.

By deleting drivers in Device Manager, your computer will attempt to do a reinstall only if your computer needs that driver.

I have a Toshiba A205-S4707 and I'm trying to turn on my webcam but, every time I try to turn on the Camera Assistant Software, it says "Error. Turn On Camera" Well, how do I do that?

is you camera built in? or separate? try to reinstall the driver of your webcam, but first uninstall it in the device manager panel. note! be sure that your camera is properly connected to the computer. in order to determine that, unplug and reconnect the usb of your webcam, if the computer detects it, then your webcam is connected. Try the first suggestion.

Good luck

Advent 4211-b problem with built in webcam not working

Go to the device manager. You will see a section called Imaging devices. Click on the plus sign. if any device is listed uninstall it and then restart your computer. The drivers will get installed automatically or you need to use the driver CD to reinstall the same. Once installed use any software like Cyberlink Youcam or any other software provided to you by your vendor. make sure the input device selected is the required webcam.
