If you want to "control" the temperatur on the printhead , you first of all need to install Diagnostic program for your printer.

On the menu go to values.

Find Ymck power, which probably is on 0. and try to adjust to MAX 50 or -50.

Push the : Save current values to power on , button.
The passaword is 42360..

My printer DataCard SP 35 started printing only in grayscale suddenly (with a colored ribbon). Before it ware printing colored cards.

I think rain doesn't have anything to do, unless you had your printer outside...
Maybe a light interruption could make your station start over without proper settings. Try checking your printer driver and see if it has the proper settings for ribbon and not printing on black dots.

Only prints one color

Blocked print head nozzles
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required.

Displays colour streaks (mainly red)when printing

you need to make adjustments in the driver control panel color options, you may need service to calibrate the temperature, this can also be a result of poor quality PVC cards. Some card design software will allow you print parts of the card with black panel only which would eliminate this issue.

Datacard

To convert you would have to change system board, and buy new print head, it would be cheaper to trade in for discount on new printer.

Printing faintly

It sounds like the printhead temperature needs to be increased in the print driver. This will enhance the color and density of the ribbon transfer to the card.

Data card sp35 plus ribbon break

There could be either of the following issues:

1. Check the print head temperature to make sure that it is hot enough to transfer the ribbon to the card.

2. The surface of the PVC card may not be image compatible. Try another brand of card or opt to 60/40 composite cards for testing.

Problem with temperature

You should try and open the printer up and let it cool down. Also, try to keep it in open places where there are windows and stuff, and try to keep the room cooled. Is it an old one? If so, there's no solution to that.
