Question about Maytag PAV2300 Top Load Washer
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,
You said, you have been getting oil stains on some of my clothes.
this means your washer has a leaking seal and oils is coming out onto your clothe.
Water is getting into the seal and bearings.
Do not waste any time. Get service out there right away.
If this is caught early you may have a chance to save a lot of money!

The only oil would come from your rear bearing assy. Its a very expensive repair. I know the units not that old but I wouldnt waste a service call on it unless they are giving free estimates (which most co.s are not). Its gonna need the rear bearing and back half of the tub. Low end estimate will probably well over half the cost of the unit. Hope this helps _MJ_

SOURCE: Oil spots on clothes
First of all relax alright, you are in safe hands.
See every washing machine has a turbine at the bottom f the washing bowl and below that there is a motor. And there wud be a safety valve or (washer ) which basically looks like a ring made out rubber or plastic and when this ring gets outdated or torn it stops controlling the oil flow and thats the reason y ur clothes have the oil stains ,so once it is replaced you will not have this issue.
This would surely help you in getting the clothes clean and tidy.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And please rate me so that I can improve myself(vote).

SOURCE: Oil Like Stains on Clothes
I think you may have a Detergent/fabric softener build up. Run your washer in a normal cycle and see if you have soap suds..if you do you have a build up you have been using to much soap. use a vingar flush to clean out the extra soap/Detergent.. Do you use Fabric softeners liquid can leave greasy spots your garments. The spots can be removed by re-washing and drying without the softener This is actually a wax. let me know if this helps..

SOURCE: Round stains on clothing
This is from not enough HOT loads.
Fatty deposits gather between the basket and tub during COLD washes.
Then they are being released in large numbers when you do your whites on HOT.
It is recommended to do 1 HOT load per week.
Do an empty load with some degreaser added (like Goo-Gone) on the fullest/hottest setting you have.

ftr loader washers do not have any oil, my guess would be you are using fabric softner . that can stain clothes. dilute with water, they are very concentraded. or your dispenser may not be working properly and not releasing softner at the proper time.i would run a clean cycle through it. meaning set on a hot wash- regular cycle no clothes and run wirth bleach in bleach disenser. do this every other month to keep washer clean hope this helps. make sure its not happening in the dryer , the dryer has frt and rear seals that go bad and start leaving marks on clothes and catching them in beteween the tub.
