Question about Audio Cards

1 Answer

Pipe internal PC speaker sound through Sound Blaster 16.

I have a Sound Blaster 16 Pro (CT4170) sound card. I have heard you can redirect the PC's internal speaker noise through the sound card so it plays from your nicer speakers.

I also see a two pin Jumper #4 called PC_SPK on the sound card. How do I send the motherboards four pin but two wires to this PC_SPK jumper set? Or is that completely wrong and it should be done some other way?

Thanks.

The 2 outer pins of the four pins on *********** board are the + and - pins for the speaker.

What can I do if my pc don't reconise my sound blaster pc i 16 fr

First go to Device Manager. Start>Right Click on My Computer>Hardware Tab>Device Manager. Scroll down to sound card and see if it is there or if it has a yellow, red or black !. If it is not there then you need to download or load the drivers from the disk. If it is there then right click on it and update drivers. That should allow you're system to recognize it. Let me know.
