Cannon A70 black screen, can snap picture but come out with black pic too

Hi ..?.., a fairly common problem. If you can insert a good CF card with known good images and see them, it's probably a recognised manufacturer's "CCD" fault and Canon will repair it free of charge!! You can check their website (Australian e.g. - copy and paste all between the following single quotes ... 'http://www.canon.com.au/support/customer/default.asp?DXI=KnowledgeBase/Customer/KBArticleForm&File=KB01634&productID=powershota70' ... in your browser address bar) but I suggest telephoning your nearest Canon office and taking it/mailing it to them. (If you cannot check it, they will do this). Hope this helps.
