I can not get my printer to print. It was working fine. But I think I need to fix the printer settings and do not know how.

Go to control pannel printer options right click set as default printer

We are using our Konica Minolta Di3510 as our primary printer. It is connected via ethernet. Everything was working fine until we added internet. Now about half the jobs I send to the Di3510 get stuck...


There is too little information to work out your problem here exactly, but I think here is a conflict in your network. I think you have to read the manual of your modem and printer to see for the settings of your network. Is it DHCP? Do you have a fixed IP address for your printer (that is the best thing to do), and is your Gateway address correct with the correct subnetmask. When your printer starts, it 'asks' for a IP address. Your modem 'gives' an address, but it can be a conflict with an other address in the network. If you set a fixed IP address, your printer will always have the same address and can be found... So take the time to look carefully to your modem settings: is DHCP on? Which range will it use? What is the Gataway address, what is your subnet mask? Take also a look at your printer settings: Is DHCP on? Does it have a fixed IP address? And take a look to your printer driver: to what IP address are you printing? Those three things have to match in order to recognize each other.

Canon PIXMA MP780 - will copy only in greyscale and color - not in black and white


Try first fo clean the cartridge/nozzle using the printer utility installled on your computer then after that try to print a plain text and see if its working fine already...

How do I align my Cannon MX340 all in one since I change ink cartiridge now it prints on two sheets of paper instead of one. I looked in my booklet but I cant find a fix for this.


Your "set-up" is incorrectly configured. Try printing or copy without the computer. If it works fine, then you set-up is the problem - don't think it's the alignment.

Set print quality to best, but gets set back to normal before printing starts. Why?


right click on the printer icon in the printers page
select printing preferences
select the print quality as you wish and at the end click on apply and ok
and try to print .... i think this should work
still if it does not work
uninstall and reinstall the printer as a fresh and this should be a fix
still if that does not work
download the full feature driver from the below link and install the printer and it should work

Bottom of page is cut off sometimes printing from vista computer


I had same problem with Vista machine and hp c309 printer cutting off 1/2 of last line. Tried all other listed fixes and none of them worked. Eventually I found a fix that worked for me though.
1. Go to the control panel and select the printer
2. Right click and select Properties
3. Go to the Ports tab
4. Uncheck 'Bidirectional Support'
5. Click apply.

Wireless Connection


I have the same problem and I have exhausted all options that I can think of. Last night I reset the network settings for the printer and started over and at the end, after going through the whole wizard again, it spit out a new network page and looked like the problems were fixed. (was now on channel 11,used to be on 6, also said it was connected to the wireless network when before it said it was not). I got excited thinking it had finally connected, but when I went to print a test page I got the same communication problem error message. I just got off the phone with Lexmark Support and he told me it was most likely printing to the wrong port. When I go to my printers properties page, it is printing to USB001 (Lexmark virtual printer port), and he told me it needs to be on "Lexmark 1400 Series" port. I will try to create a new port tonight and hopefully I have "Lexmark 1400 Series" as an option to choose from.

Jeez this thing is exhausting. I consider myself to be fairly computer savvy and I have wasted 4 nights working on this thing to no avail. How do people who don't know their way around a computer handle wifi printing to the 1420??

Need to know what OS you are using - are you printing PCL or postscript. How are the computers connecting to the printer network or direct connection?

Printing


Is the printer connected via USB or a printer cable to the LPT1 port? Make sure the Port setting in the properties of the printer are set to the correct port. If the printer is plugged into the USB port but the properties say it is on the LPT1 port. the cpmputer will think it is sending something to the printer but the printer doesnt know it.
