Question about Washing Machines
Tried resetting by holding power button while selector set to "Stop/Reset", and the light flashed 3 times and then blinked slowly.
However, the problem continues - selecting a wash cycle makes the pump go, but the drum does not fill, and then the selectoe begins turning quickly again.
This sort of problem is usually associated with a faulty control board
If there is a reset point on the timer, then reset it, and try again, if it still does the same thing, then it it is going to be the control board.

it maybe your brushes are worn out, on alot of machines these days if the brushes wear the machine wont fill , or your motor itself could be faulty or your board. Unplug the machine , take the back off , get yourself a test meter disconnect the motor and put the probes from the meter and put it across the tags, if the motor is wrong you wont get continuity between 2 tags normally 1 and 5 looking from the top of the block going down

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.
