Margins are set in printing preferences in the window that pops up after you press print. If prints like the nozzle check are off center you need to clean the encoder strip.
6A00 is a purge assembly error, thats the cleaning unit on the right where the printhead parks. Look on the right with a flashlight and see if there's paper, or anything that doesn't belong. If the wipers are jammed into the pad assembly, you will need a new purge unit, best changed by a shop.
Question: Was it working on this same computer and the same Windows Operating System before? If so, I'd re-install the software for the printer. If you have a different Operating System, then I'd go on line and get the latest update drivers for that operating System. Hope this is helpful. Bud
I have a Canon IP6700D that I was having the same problem with. I adjusted my virtual memory (increasing it) and changed from spooling to printing directly to the printer in the control panel. It seems to have corrected the problem. Hope this helps you.
