Thanks in advance for your time! sanyo dp42746 My daughter was blow drying her hair before school, she had plugged the dryer into the same wall socket that my father has his TV plugged into. When we woke...
First check the fuse has not blown in the plug, if that is fine there is a fuse on the power board inside the tv that may have blown to check this you will need to take the back panel off the tv. It is held on by a few screws, use a pozy drive screw drive to undo them, once all of the screws are out, the back cover should come off with gentle persuasion. You are looking for the power board, follow where the mains cable goes to the tv to find it, on the board have a route around and you should find the fuse, pop it out of the fuse holder, take the fuse to your local electrical appliance repair shop and they should have the fuses you need there, they are not very expensive and will save you a packet of repair fees. Also whilst you have the back cover have a look at the same to see if it has any other blown componants, if there are any they will need to be replaced also. i hope this helps with the problem.
