Problem for Multimedia Projectors

Generic problem for all Multimedia Projectors

Benq 8250 projector shuts down

All 3 of our Benq 8250 shut down, usually straightaway, with either over temp or fan/diode fault. Benq cant fix them. One they had 6 times. Happens in even the coldest of rooms.

Is there a cure or do we scrap them?

- After 10-20 sec my Benq 8250 goes off due to diode or fan error.

Hi david115

I've had this problem MANY a time before and what BenQ does wrong is that they only replace the two main fans at the back of the PB8250 , they should in fact replace both the fans and the Mainboard. This is unfortunately the only way to get around this problem.
