Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
"The paper is jammed, clear the paper and press OK"
I have taken the cassette out and no jammed paper was found. However, when I took the cassette out a spring from the vertical slider popped off.
I have turned off and on the printer several times, even unplugged it. No other functions work - for example, changing from cassette to auto sheet feeder.
Can you help?
Sounds like you made the right checks for jammed paper. Try uninstalling the printer, disconnect the printer from the computer and then with the printer disconnected, re-install the software. During the software installation the program will ask you to connect the printer. Only then connect it. When finished it should work. If not we can look at other solutions. Bud

Tips for a great answer:
Clearing credit card-sized paper jammed inside the printer
Credit card-sized and 4" x 6" sized paper must be loaded properly. If this media is not loaded properly, it will feed into the printer and will not exit. Credit card-sized paper should only be loaded in the ASF and in portrait orientation. 4" x 6" sized paper can be loaded in the ASF or cassette. But must be loaded portrait orientation.
If credit card-sized paper was loaded in landscape orientation in the ASF and did not eject (exit), please follow this procedure.
