Question about RCA P61310 TV
I had someone come fix it last week because there were colored lines though the picture and he replaced a blown fuse. Two days later the fuse must of blown again because the picture was doing the same thing and then it started shutting off and coming on all by itself. The same guy replaced the fuse again and everything is fine with the picture. I told him that the tv was shutting off and comin on by itself but of course it didn't do it while he was here. So the picture is fine but the tv is still shutting off and coming on by itself. What is the problem with it?
I know this is a little late but my nephew's RCA big screen was doing this also. He told me his young infant would often bang on the TV's control buttons there on the front. I removed the front panel and disconnected the wire connector for the small board which runs those controls. Problem solved.
Of course, you'll no longer have control of your TV, except through the remote. By doing this, you'll at least verify that this is, indeed, the problem.
