Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Tromm lg washing machine keeps having an OE error and the machine shuts down. We have cleaned the little filter on bottom front and also cleaned the little black drain hose, used a vac pump so **** out, and also used air compressor to blow out. Still the machine would not finish the load, and on the once in 20 try's that it did go through the cycle, the clothes would be soaking wet when cycle finished. So, we unhooked and took machine out into the yard. We rehooked up the cold water and plugged it in to try and see if it was draining. With nothing in the machine but 1 towel, we ran a cycle. Everything worked perfect! So I had my wife put a load of cold water clothes in while it was in the yard to make sure it would work. NOW HEARS A WORSE PROBLEM. The machine cycled through to the spin out cycle, and water started pouring out of a "vent?" at the top of the back of the machine! no water was coming out of the drain hose, only out of the vent looking hole. No appliance repair company's work on this front load washers in the area either... help

The OE error is really a DE error. (Drain error) Drain all water out of machine as you have done before and remove the square recess around the filter by removing one screws and using a putty knife from the side of the recess. Now you will be able to remove the two more screws holding the pump to the front housing. Tip machine back (best to just lean it against an object like a wall that's about a foot and a half away) and reach under machine to remove pump. Pump is held by a plastic tab which should be depressed to release pump. If you take off wires to pump and the two bigger hoses you can pull the assemble completely out. Take the three screws out which are holding the pump motor on. Replace pump motor with a new one. Reinstall pump assembly.
If you list a model number I can look up a part number.
Not too sure how you got water to come out vent, as machine should not spin with water in drum. Possibly you may also have to clean out the water level hose. Remove four screws holding back cover, take off cover, remove and clean out thin black hose from bottom back of machine and the nipple it was pushed onto.

My LG Tromm front loader has an OE error message and isn't spinning. First received the message during a full load of laundry. Had to drain the water from the hose at the bottom and finally got it unlocked...

OE is normally down to blocked drain pipes, mcalpine (connection under the sink) or a blocked front filter. empty the machine and unscrew the filter behind the flap at the bottom right hand side, check for any obstructions, icoins, hair grips etc are normally blocking here

I keep getting a oe code and it wont drain

That is actualy a DE (drain error) code. Open the access door at the lower left on front of the washer. Use the little hose to drain the remaining water out of the machine. Now, unscrew the big knob next to it and remove the attached filter. Clean out the filter and re-install. If the filter was clear, you will need a new pump motor.

Lg tromm wm2277hw rinse spin error OE

An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes. However, the OE error code does not always mean that the washer requires a service call. If periodic maintenance has not been performed on the washer, there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service.
Step 1: Check the drain pump filter.
Items caught in the drain filter will prevent proper drainage. Over time build up can occur from detergents and additives used in the machine. Manually drain unit through the drain hose, then lay a towel down to catch the water, and remove the filter. Clean the filter thoroughly and restart the machine.
Step 2: Check the washers drain hose.
If the drain hose is not installed properly, the washer will not drain properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine.
Step 3: Confirm that the washer is leveled properly.
If the unit is not leveled properly, it will not drain properly. The front of the unit cannot be higher than the back or vice versa. If not properly leveled, the water can flow back into the machine. If this is the cause of the problem, please level the machine using the supplied leveling wrench. When you place a LEVEL on the washing machine, the bubble should be in the center. Confrim that the washer is leveled from side to side and front to back.

Getting the OE error message on LG Tromm

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Clean the drain filter out. Then while the filter is out, take a flashlight and look into the filter hole. We had this problem and discovered a metal bottle top lodged in the hole which goes to the pump. Removed the bottle top easily and the machine works fine.

My lg intellowasher wd1290 error code OE

I think your "OE" is really a "DE" or drain error. Open the access door on the lower left of the front panel on the machine, drain the remaining water with the small drain hose there, and unscrew and remove the larger thing, which is a filter. Clean filter. If filter was not blocked, check for loose impeller on drain pump motor, which requires replacement of drain pump motor. (just sticking it back on will result in it coming off again)
If this helps, a "fixya" rating would be appreciated. Thanks.
