Question about Dell 962 Photo All-In-One InkJet Printer
Even though I have been printing with this cartridge, now I'm givien an error message that says it is the wrong cartridge. I have turned off the printer and then restarted. Still the same message. I removed the cartridge and have cleaned the contacts. Still getting the message. Any suggestions.....
Even though the cartridge was fairly new, I replaced it and that solved the problem.

After trying all the cleaning ideas this worked for me.
Remove both cartridges, then remove power from the printer and immediately press and hold the power button for approximately 10-15 seconds.
Then plug the printer back in, and reinstall the cartridges. Unplug the printer once more, hold the power button again for 10-15 seconds, and then finally, plug it back in and turn it on.

Tips for a great answer:
Nov 29, 2012 | Lexmark X1240 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Apr 25, 2012 | HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet...
it is possible that once the computer and printer are communicating that the error messages could also be resolved by running the printer diagnostic program.
