Question about Computers & Internet
Are you attempting to detect new hardware? A lot of times you need to go into the control panel and run the hardware detection wizard.
Alternatively, you can check Maxtor's website and see if a special driver is needed, and install that, then detect hardware.
The last solution I have is to leave it plugged in and reboot your computer. Windows will do an auto detect upon log in, and might be able to find it that way.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
