Question about Instant Cameras
A friends father was getting rid of his camera equip. he brought buy a couple of the cameras to see if i wanted anything the camera body lenses ect. were all in nearly brand new condition. i picked the nikon N2000 when i open up the battery compartment the batteries had corroded in side my friend took them out and cleaned it up but now after putting in new batteries it will still not power on also the battery holder looked like one of the end terminal that makes contact with the camera had been replaced and perhaps is not makeing a good conection?any ideas on fix? thank you so much
I would try some CLR on the end of a Q tip and scrub down all of the contact points to clean off any corrosion. Then I'd use the eraser end of a pencial and remove any last bits of residue. Then reinstall batteries and try it. If iyt still doesn't work, then it is not a cost effective fix. You can get a replacement used, working N2000 (or F-301...its the same camera) on eBay for no more than $25.
