Could be that your Iomega player is lacking the same type of Codec that was used to encode the Audio in the AVI Files.

Files not show/recognized when connected to the tv and movies not playing

Your movies have to be converted into .avi format. There are many websites to download video format conversions depending upon your PC's operating system. Once you have found the right software, you will have to attach your Ext HD, then open each movie & click 'Convert to AVI'. Once completed, you can delete the original. Hello,

Are you reffering to the videos on youtube or from your CD or DVD?

You can upgrade Flash, directx and the drivers in your computer to fix this problem. You can use RadarSync to scan and update.

Why is it that I canot get sound on all the vidios that I play back on my TV from my Screen Play I can only get sound on a few ?

Hi Mary,
Please check the format of the video that you are trying to play.
this Iomega ScreenPlay Plus HD Media Player is certified to play popular DivX video, and supports many of today's popular CODECs and file types, including H.264, WMV and MKV, as well as plenty of others. (For a comprehensive list of supported video, audio and photo files. Most probably the video that you are trying to play is .3GP or .FLV.

For this you need to convert the video files to supporting format like DivX®, DivX Plus™ HD (MKV), XviD, AVI(Xvid, AVC, MPEG1/2/4), ISO, VOB, MP4, MOV, MKV,H.264, WMV, RMVB and MPEG.

Thanks,
Satheesh

Youtube is not working on iomega screen play director saying that"THE CONTENT YOU REQUESTED IS NOT FOUND"

April, 2010 - Iomega learned that YouTube made some changes to their programming APIs. Iomega uses YouTube's APIs, or programming interface, to interact with their service and their site. Until Iomega can learn more about the changes YouTube made, and re-program the ScreenPlay Director and TV Link Director to work with them, the online YouTube videos will be unavailable. Your device is working fine, but YouTube's service is temporarily unavailable.
