There are no error codes, the paper trays work fine and both trays are full of paper. The machine is working like normal, the only thing its doing is constantly saying "Load Extra paper (TYPE: Plain)" on the screen and it wont go away. You push the "ok" button and it goes away for a min but comes right back.

Goto the job status and select the print job that is waiting.. To the right, select details and select the paper size you want. Identify the job because you will want to make sure the settings in that document are set to the correct paper size and type.

ok no probs. it sounds like the page setup on the print job is wrong. the machine is being told to print on this paper type so it holds all jobs and gives you this message. check the setup in word or whatever app you use. click file, page setup and look under the paper tab. also make sure that the driver is set to auto paper select.

SOURCE: Sharp 2300n gets paper jam. It fold paper like an

When you clear the paper from the machine at the fusing unit, you can see 8 pawls, it looks like a hook but in a flat design. They should be touching the heat roller ( each has a spring to make it flexible ). If one not touching the heat roll it will caused the paper stuck to it so you will have the accordion paper jam.

How do i print on cardboard (heavy paper card)

The mx2300n only supports up to 209gsm heavy card. You must make sure that your heavy card is not over this rating.
Set the bypass tray as 'Heavy' by clicking on the trays on the main copy mode screen, select type & size for bypass. Select heavy, and Auto AB as this will allow the tray guides to detect the size of your paper. Load the tray with up to 20 sheets of Heavy paper.
Open your document, select Print, then properties. Under the 'paper' tab, select paper source as bypass tray, and paper type as heavy (if you miss one of these steps, the ,machine will ask to load paper due to size or type mismatch).
That's pretty much it.

Check registration ( timing of paper start from alligning roller with the scanner unit start ), or there could be a problem with the paper feed system ( Paper getting physically stuck / releasing late )

Use the Bypass tray to load it. But first try the paper tray and try to load it there and see if the paper tabs have a size adjustment for envelopes. If not try the by pass

Someone has sent a print job from a computer to the copier with an odd paper size specified. Go to Job status, under "print" highlight the first job in the que and delete it. (if the job was sent more than once you will have to repeat. ) Check the document and print settings of the offending document.
