if your PC works with a standard monitor, just make sure you select the correct input on your TV. No special software needed.

We bought a used IBM NetVista and have a monitor problem


The video card is the most possible causing error like this. The cables are either connected or not.

Ya the usb port is there definitely , you have to see at the back side of the pannel below the VGA cable i.e the monitor cable you can see a rectangular shaped sockets thats the USB port

Detach the monitor from the cpu and turn it on. If the same vertical line appears then take it to the repair centre.

Video display driver


It's not your driver. It's the video cable from the computer to the monitor.

Move it around at both ends and your colour will return to normal.

Either replace the cable or find where it is happy and then hold it in that position with something.

It's a common fault to all monitor cables..and nearly always the red wire.

This can't be repaired, the LCD panel is a sealed unit. if you can't live with it then you need a new monitor

hi there, try to remove the video card and put it back again, turn it on and try to hear beeping sound or see if it is ok. if still same problem, identify if your monitor works or not and proceed to the system unit, may be the main board is mulfunctioning. do some test. ty
