REMOTE CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK-WALL BUTTON FLASHING RAPIDLY

I have a Liftmaster 1/2 HP Professional Line chain drive operator I am having a problem with. Mod. 41A4252-7 5/93 K1027 FCC HBW 0777. The two button remote controls will not operate this one door. The wall button operates the door just fine. The remotes will operate the second operator. The door bell style wall push button is flashing rapidly and the remote controls will not operate the door. Both sensor eyes have green lights. I have powered it down for 5 min. and cleaned and aligned the sensor eyes but that did not help. Any advice you could offer would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

    The remote controls were working well till the light of the remote on the wall started flashing

    My operators only have the door bell style buttons. No lock button. Does anyone have an idea how to turn off the lock feature using this type of button? I tried holding the button down for a few seconds and that did not work. I also powered down the operator with no luck either.

    Thanks!

    Follow the steps to reprogram your remotes. The rapid flashing means they have lost connection. Here is a closeup of the instructions... (My opener is Chaimberlain, model numbers are identical)

Does your wall switch have a lock feature? By pressing the lock button, the remote control is disabled. A flashing light indicates this feature has been activated.

To deactivate, press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds. The flashing should stop and your remote should work again.

If the LED is flashing rapidly when the button on the remote is not pressed you have interference from something. Check for old remotes stored in a drawer somewhere or some new electric item nearby. Start unplugging things until that rapid flashing stops.

On the end of your opener where the small gray antenna is you will find an LED that flashes rapidly when you use your remote. When you release your remote it should stop flashing rapidly and just occasionally flash. See if this continues to flash rapidly while the bulb is on and your remotes are inoperative. If it does, remove the bulb and do the same thing. I have a feeling your light bulb is radiating.

Professional series, lift master 1/3 hp, the remotes will not operate door but door will operate from wall pad

Check to see if the small light in the wall pad is blinking. If so press and hold the button with the lock icon for 3 seconds.

If this isn't the case your receiver may have failed. The wall button works without the receiver;

I would remove the logic board and look for loose or missing traces on the printed circuit board.

reset your remotes and your main transmitter after removing and replacing the remote batteries (these use rolling codes that change each time you operate the door) the procedure for doing this is listed on the liftmaster website
