Have all the speakers been reconnected? if so, there may be a blown output fuse inside the reciever.

Trace the TV audio back to its source - TV or Cable Box most likely. We have no way of knowing which. Substitute in another source to test the input.

If DVD audio works so does the basic HTS.

Box wont turn on, it is plugged in to electrical outlet worked fine last night

Try to unplug it and wait for about 5 minutes then plug it back in. If that doesnt work try a different outlet. If thats not it it may be a fuse inside of it.

Emerson AV50 says ''NO DISK''

Hi, sounds like you have a dirty laser eye on the DVD player. The eye gets dirty and it won't read movies or function properly. I would recommend a DVD Cleaner CD. I would have you try this before I have you open the DVD Player to clean the Laser Manually. Please try this and Post the Result for me to Review. Thank you

Phillips hts3410d no sound VERY dim led

Have you had any thunderstorms recently in your area? if so, this could be a pulse sent threw your system form an electrical storm. this happens often during dangerous thunderstorm activity. Also, your electrical wiring in your home can produce this as well due to a faulty circuit breaker box or lose ceiling fan hook ups. the best scenario could be a defective product. this way, you can get a full refund or a replacement set up.

Non bose dvd player for bose system

In short, you can. I did it last night. My Bose 321 DVD player is junk and it's always been junk, but I love the sound sytem. Last night, after the thing gobbled it's last DVD, I went through the whole, unplug, wait 5 minutes, plug back in, etc. and it still wouldn't eject so I ripped the DVD tray out of the thing with a pair of pliers, recovered my DVD, and slammed the tray back in, stripping all the gears and screwing up the motor in the process.
BUT, I disconnected the video cable from my Bose and plugged it into the video out on my el-cheapo Tru-Tech $99 DVD recorder. Then I ran the audio out cables from the Tru-Tech to the Aux 1 inputs on my Bose 321.
When I want to watch a DVD now, I put the DVD in my Tru-Tech, turn on the Bose, switch it to Aux 1, and I get a great picture and the Bose sound. Best of all, I don't have to plug and unplug that sorry Bose system everytime the wind blows.
They used the absolute cheapest DVD player they could get their hands on--a Toshiba model--for all the Bose 321 older models. Every single person who bought one has had these same troubles and they've made no offer to fix them.
This was my first and last Bose because of that and I hope more people stay away from Bose until they get their act together and protect their customers. $1000 for a system that eats DVDs like M&M's is ridiculous.

DVT216 Audio Problem: No sound at all

JUNK IT!!! this unit is notorious for junker style problems... I just helped someone out with a similar concern. Buy a new one of a different type! Sony even offers dreamsystems that arent expensive, arent good, but at least wont pull a buzz and deadness overnight on you... Good Luck!
