Question about Epson Stylus C20UX InkJet Printer

When i start to go into the printer a message comes up the programme didnt download correctly it may not work properly

its a epson c20ux new ink cartridges ....making all the right printing indicator shows full... no printing comes thru to the paper.

cleaned it loads of times have had to colours and partial black come on nozzle nothing

i downloaded thee driver from here.

help please

    i';m in the process of the second 'soak' thanks for the help. if this doesn't work, i'm going to throw it up the garden, smiling as it sails through the air,,

The red light is not on or flashing, is it? You did, of course, remove the yellow plastic tape from the cartridges before installing them, didn't you?

OK - the first thing we must ensure is that you have good cartridges. The printer Status Manager (SM) does not actually measure how much ink is in them, it merely estimates it by counting the number of ink shots used and calculating what's left. There are many reasons for getting this wrong. So we must start from a known good position i.e. new cartridges. Put new ones in, but you MUST use the proper cartridge exchange procedure so that an ink charging cycle is carried out. Now try a nozzle check. Any sign of ink? Yes, but not perfect? If so, or if nothing still, do a couple of head cleans and nozzle checks. If still not perfect, let it rest for 24 hours to disperse air bubbles. Then repeat the head clean etc. Patience is required here.

Still nothing? OK - let's try cleaning the nozzles. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water (available from you local car accessories store). DO NOT USE TAP WATER! Then carefully push the print head fully into its parking position by hand so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on! Leave this for at least 24 hours, then try a head clean & nozzle check again. You may get some strange colours to start with - don't worry about this. However, if still nothing, repeat the soak procedure. If still nothing after this, report back.

    Oh - don't worry about the drivers - if the Status Monitor is working i.e. it shows you the ink levels, and you can carry out head cleaning and nozzle checks, the drivers are OK.

    Er - you don't say if you have installed new cartridges. Honestly, there is absolutely no point in head soaking unless you KNOW you have good cartridges.

HP and Dell usually supply a startup CD, that will help you configure RAID levels and partitions and start the Windows installation. If you have the supplied CD boot from it and it should work OK, if not you can download it here

I have a U-Print cdp78 disc printer was working fine for the past year but recently I keep getting a message that the to be switch on or the driver is not installed correctly I tried everything I can...

yes this might be true, that the installing . i think you just had the same problem. as mine you have to reset the botton the computer does not regonice the usb printer because the printer instll programm with the hardware somehow has some failed. and to reset just follow press the start botton unplugg usb and current cable from the uprinter keep holding the start botten replugg both usb and current to the uprinter. and here we go the computer will ask you for new installings and so just reput your cd installing and it will work again

You need first to deleting the old driver and that in device manager and system then shutdown the system and start again (you must be admin) then connect your device and the computer will read the driver for it again. I need to know the printer data name, model, etc. so we can try to get you the correct driver free, let you know. That means that you have to uninstall and reinstall Yahoo Messenger.

Go to start then control panel then ADD/REMOVE programs. After that look for Yahoo there highlight it then click on remove. After that restart your computer.

Go to then download and install Yahoo Messenger.

"Error 1068 Could not start the Printer Spooler on local Computer"

right click on my computer -> select manage -> one should be services and something (or something like that) open that and go to services -> find the printer spool service and right click on it -> click on properties -> in the printer spool service properites click the "Start" button and also under a drop down menu change it from "Disabled" to "Automatic".... This is what you did right ?

Log in to Administrator account and try it there. If that doesn't work then install a fresh copy of Windows Xp. It should work now. Thank you.

"Error 1068 Could not start the Printer Spooler on local Computer" Above is the Canon site with the newest drivers available. Download them and install them. First "delete" the printer from print properties. Unplug the printer from the wall for a few minutes and shutdown the computer. Plug the printer in and reboot the machine. Install the new drivers. You are in a loop. definition of LOOP: see LOOP. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
