Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

Excel System error &H80004005 error

Whille working in Excel 2007 whenever I press Ctrl-C or Ctrl-V or Ctrl-Z the error popsup and only option is to shut down excel and loose unsaved jobs.

Major changes in system: Recently I have updated Visio.

    After pressing 56 times OK the popup goes.

    Same problem occurs when Ctrl-V.

    The solution is irrelevant. I am enquiring about the erorr that is within an excel worksheet not across worksheet.

    I get the same &H800040005 error whenever I use the hot keys like CTRL+P in Excel only, even from a new blank book The hot keys Work OK in Word.

    1. Open a blank workbook, and type TEST in the first cell (A1). 
    2. Select the cell and press Ctrl-C. Do you get the error? If so, what is the error message?
    3. If you don't get the error, select any other blank cell and press Ctrl-V. Do you get an error? What is the error message?

Hello dear
I am also getting same issue on excel so I was getting many problem to work in MS Excel 2007. So I have solved it this issue and I am happy to share the solution with you all.


  • Click on Excel Button which are displaying on left top corner.
  • Click on Excel Options.
  • Then click on Add-Ins option.
  • You can find a Manage field in the bottom. Select Excel Add-Ins and click on Go button
  • You will find a Add-Ins window. Please un-check all Add-Ins except Analysis toolpak and Analysis toolpak VBA.
  • Click on OK button.
  • Close excel file and open again excel file.
Now you will resolve this issue and didnt get any problem again.

Actually the problem is from the Eurotool.xla in your Excel that is checked by default.

The workaround is to uncheck the Eurotool add-in, and if you never need it again, you`re done.

The solution is to uninstall and re-install Office2003 SP3.
To uninstall SP3, you will need to modify the registry. First you need to find the KB applicable to your Office SP3 installation, usually tho, it's 923618.

Find that number in your registry, there`s a key in your right-hand pane that needs to be changed, where it says Uninstallable (value of 0 needs to be changed to 1) then you will be able to uninstall SP3 and the problem is solved.

You can from that point on, re-install SP3 without getting the error again.

This problem occurs at the install or uninstall of IE7.

    I started getting the Error after uninstalling the Sharepoint Designer.
    I removed all Addins and Opened the Excel. The Problem Solved.
    Now I added the Addins, what I needed. And the problem not repeated.

Your workbook might be corrupted. Try this:
1. In Excel, right-click any worksheet tab, and then click Select All Sheets.
2. Right-click any worksheet tab, and then click Move or Copy. 3. In the To book box, point to the arrow, and then click (new book). 4. Click to select the Create a copy check box, and then click OK. 5. On the File menu, click Save. 6. In the Save As dialog box, type a new file name, and then click Save.
See if you still get the error in the newly-created workbook.

    So your error occurs no matter which workbook you're in, and even if you copy all your sheets to a new workbook?

I encountered this problem today (Excel 2007, SharePoint Designer & Visual Studio installed), and found that the specific Add-in is the Lookup Wizard. Uncheck that add-in alone, and the error goes away.

Forr the record, I encountered this in a blank workbook.

Solution for Excel 2003 "the file is not in a recognizable format"

If you open an excel created by M/S Office 2007, Excel 2003 will not be able the file. You have to install Microsoft Office the "Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats" for M/S Office 2003 from Microsoft Site.


Your Excel file is corrupt!

Whenever I try to open a file from ms Office 2007 I get an error message that tries to Configure the software

run the following commands (by pressing the Windows Key+R or typing it into the Start/Run command box. just copy and paste the command line on the run command box (one at a time)

To create an option button in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, make sure that you add Option Button (form control) to the Quick Access Toolbar. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
  2. Click the Customize category, select All Commands in the Choose commands from list, select Option Button (form control), and then click OK.
To create an option button and to assign a macro to it, follow these steps:
  1. In Excel 2003 and in earlier versions of Excel, click Option Button on the Forms toolbar, and then draw the outline of the button on the sheet.

    In Excel 2007, click Option Button (form control) on the Quick Access Toolbar, and then draw the outline of the button on the sheet.
  2. Select any cell in the worksheet.
  3. In versions of Excel that are for Microsoft Windows, right-click the option button, and then click Assign Macro.

    In versions of Excel that are for Macintosh, press COMMAND while you click or press CTRL while you click, depending on your operating system version. Then, click Assign Macro.
  4. In the Assign Macro dialog box, click the name of the macro that you want to assign to the option button, and then click OK.

Cannot insert columns in excel spreadsheet. Comes up with error cannot shift object off sheet

This error message occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The option Nothing (hide objects) is selected in the Display options for this workbook section in the Excel Options dialog box.
  • You create an object, such as a cell comment, in any cell in a column.
  • You try to hide the column to the left of the column that contains the object, the column that contains the object, or all the columns to the right side of the column that contains the object. Or, in some cases, you try to insert a row or column in the worksheet.
There are two ways to fix this problem.
Method 1:  Temporarily toggle the option from "Nothing (hide objects)" to All In Excel 2007, temporarily toggle the option from Nothing (hide objects) to All, and then insert the rows or columns as needed. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In the upper-left corner of the Excel window, click the Microsoft Office button.
  2. At the bottom of the menu, click Excel Options.
  3. Click Advanced from list of options on the left.
  4. Scroll down to the Display options for this workbook section, and then click All under For objects, show:, and then click OK.
Notes To use the keyboard shortcut to toggle this selection, press CTRL+6. 
If these steps do not let you hide rows or columns or insert rows or columns in Excel 2007, try the steps in method 2.
Method 2: Change the position property of the object to Move and size with cells To work around this issue, Excel 2003, Excel 2002, and Excel 2000, change the position property of the object to Move and size with cells. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. If the object is a cell comment, select the cell that contains the comment, right-click the cell, and then click Show Comment or Show/Hide Comments. Note This makes the comment visible.
  2. Move the pointer to the edge of the object until the pointer changes into a white arrow with four small black arrows on the pointer. Then, click the object to select it.
  3. In Excel 2003 and earlier version of Excel, click <object name> on the Format menu. Note In this menu command, <object name> is the name of the object, such as "Comment" or "AutoShape."  In Excel 2007, click Format <object name>.
  4. In the Format dialog box, click the Properties tab.
  5. Click Move and size with cells, and then click OK.
  6. If you want to hide the cell comment again, right-click the cell that contains the comment, and then click Hide Comment.
  7. Follow these steps for each object in the affected column as described in the "Cause" section. When you hide the columns, you do not receive the error message.

to correct this pls follow this procedure:

-close the file or presentation then reopen it
-open the corrupted presentation then click save as on File menu
-in the save as , pls type list, click the ff format (*ppt)
-in the file name box, type the file name you want to use, then click ok
-close and reopen the presentation
