I have had the same problem with drivers. In every case I eventually found that I was trying to load the wrong driver.
Are you using Vista 64bit version?
Is the driver you need in a sub.directory of the main folder?
Download the drivers again to make sure they were not corrupted the first time.
some do and some dont, blue tooth is optional on most laptops. the best way to find out is to try to install the blue tooth driver from the acer web site.. it will be able to tell you if it is installed.
You probably need to swap it out, lasers and spindle motors often go bad. Get a new drive off ebay (you can even upgrade to lightscribe for like 10$ more at this point): http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=Acer+Aspire+5520+cd+drive Looks like you need to take the keyboard off and unscrew the screw holding the cd-drive in.
Hi, Make sure you are not running the Desktop Icon program first. The camera can only be used by one program at a time. Now login to Messenger, and click Tools > Audio and Video Setup, and click Next past the audio settings, and choose USB Video Device from the list. It should work after a couple of seconds. If that doesn't work, try the other device drivers from the list, waiting a couple of seconds each time, until you can see some output in the window. Then apply and you're ready to go. It's the same deal with Skype, except it's in Tools > Options > Audio Settings.
try consulting the mfg for updated drivers. Try removing the usb port it's using and letting it redetect the port, also see if there is special software that comes with the usb camera and reinstall that. If all fails reinstall windows.
well fist the size that it is says is creating the error is interesting. My guess is that the fault is because the picture you are trying to access is actually a GIF. If this is the case many camera software and even some of the graphic software will not read it. Try opening that picture in internet explorer and see what happens. To remove the fault what i would do is erase the picture or move it to another part of your hard drive. That way when you start the camera it will not be looking for that picture but another JPEG.
