Is it needed to install audio driver with windows DLC xp 2010

It depends upon the Windows media centre pack you are using. Usually the pack automatically installs the audio driver. In case you face any issues you can download the drivers from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=f5a88f75-4e05-4fba-bf13-2cd53d023786&displaylang=en

HP Pavilion Dv6 Speakers wont work!

Download the latest drivers from the hp website for your computer.Un-install the present one and reboot your computer.Install the drivers once windows come up.This should take care of it.If not it could be your os.Last thing you should consider is the sound card itself which is built on the motherboard.
Good luck
