I have a simular model and I found that the circuit board has three black relays, one for the grill one for the convection and one for the microwave. I found that the microwave one wasnt working so by swaping the microwave one with the convection one I got it to work and then replaced the faulty one with a new one at a later date.

Why doesn't it work?

Not sure what "elements" you are referring to on a microwave oven but in any case, give the electrician who installed it an opportunity to get it working.

In a smeg convection oven what is the pad on inside right side

Sounds like it would be the waveguide cover, but that should be covered in your owner's manual.

Is this a magnetron problem?

check the H.V.capacitor first for a shorted condition, then the H.V. diode next these are a big culprit and are cheaper than a mag tube

GE Spacemaker microwave turntable will not turn

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Smegwd900esl microwave oven turntable

I would suspect a problem with a door switch or door switch mount, or possibly a shorted relay on the control panel.

I would contact them for an authorized servicer in your area.

Comination Microwave

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part
I would think it's not a door switch problem since the oven and grill work.

I'd say this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

More importantly, due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here:

Combination microwave oven

What is the nature of the failure?

Can you enter cooking the time?

If so, what happens when you press Start?

Does it run (count down, lights on, turntable on ) but not heat?

Brand and model might help, too, but the basics are the same, so we're happy to help you with more information.
