Quite sorry but Furuno does not carry "extension" cables for radar antenna signal cables. If the original cable is too short, you would need to obtain a 15M whole cable, furuno part number 001-122-870-10. Or the 20M whole cable part number 000-144-565. You might be able to find a technician willing to custom manufacture an extension for you but I emphasize the word might. Regards, John
I would assume you're talking about the radar? it's a RSB0093-074 it's just for the 1623. There are no other options. If you're referring to gps antennas then any antenna that outputs nmea can be used.
The symptom you describe sounds like a case of no radar targets. To further diagnose, put radar on the longest range and turn Gain to full, Sea Clutter to Minimum, Rain Clutter to Minimum, and observe the screen. The presence of "grass" or evenly distributed clutter indicates that the receiver and cabling is good and the radar may not be transmitting. No transmit is caused by a bad magnetron or a bad modulator in the antenna, or depending on model there is still an outside chance that the power supply in the display has failed.
depending on which radar it is, it may be the video coax inside the radar cable. Otherwise possibly your magnetron or mic. Try calling mid-shore electronics @ 410-228-7335 they may be able to assist you.
A 1942 is a 6 kw radar a 1720 is either a 1.5 or 2.2 kw dome. The two
will not work together. Besides the cabling is different. Also the
radar cable on a 1942 is round where as the 1720 is square. The 1942
display should work fine on a 1943 navnet radar.
