I have a one year old nano. Hardly have used it. Was using it last week when I heard a sizzling sound and then nothing. Screen went dark... you can still see it if you turn just the right way. I have restored it to original settings? I think on Itunes but screen is still dark. It had lost its sound and I don't know if there is sound now as it is empty. Can anyone help...yvonne

My friend has the same problem, and same with my brothers ipod nano. My friend took it to the Apple Store, and they said it was do to overheating, caused by leaving it on the charger to long. They could not fix her ipod, but have you left it on the charger?
